Charles Ives lived from 1874 until 1954. He never tried to make a living from music. Instead, he became a superstar in the life insurance business. His pattern for his extraordinary business success should be studied. His observations of mass thinking are correct. His devotion to spiritual values is a big part of his business thinking as well as his musical output. His criticisms of the music education system in his life time are very relevant today. I hope to start a membership group to discuss Ives writings.
